Hudson promises 5 games during 2007 and 10 titles over the course of the next year

Official reports posted everywhere say that Turbo CD and Super CD titles are to be distributed on the Wii, starting October. The games will be available for download through the Wii's Virtual Console, as you can imagine, going for even less Wii Points than Nintendo 64 games currently available through the service. That's right - 800 Pts for each title.

According to the official announcement Hudson Soft President and Representative Director: Hidetoshi Endo is pleased to announce that Turbo CD and Super CD game software will be available for download via the Virtual Console feature on Nintendo's Wii. Wii owners with a high-speed Internet connection can redeem Wii Points to download these classic games through the Wii Shop Channel. Soon, Wii owners will be able to enjoy even more software titles previously released on other platforms. These titles will be available for download beginning in October of this year in Japan, and thereafter will extend to North America, Europe and Australia. Now Wii gamers will be able to play games originally created specifically for CD-ROM media, in addition to TurboGrafx-16 game titles already available via Virtual Console.

What players will basically be doing starting October (if they're interested of course) is simply select their favorite games in the Wii Shop Channel and download them exactly as they did with other pieces of Virtual Console content before. More than that, each Turbo CD and Super CD download can be purchased either by credit card or through a Wii Points Card which everyone knows where to get.

Another important aspect would be that Hudson Soft's projected distribution is of over 5 games during 2007 and a little over 10 titles in 2008. While the harvest is apparently scarce, you shouldn't worry as these are just mere estimations of what's to come. But still, for 800 Wii Points they're either bad titles or Hudson has a very big heart (like that GameStop manager).
