Rapper Tupac Shakur may have passed away back in 1996, but he's still very much in the news today, and his music is still influencing today's artists in a major way. Today, we get a piece of news regarding his tragic and mysterious death caused by gunshot wounds in a drive-by shooting.

Chris Carroll was a Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department officer back in 1996, and the night Tupac got shot, he was the first to respond on the scene. In an interview with a Vegas Seven, Chris reveals that Tupac's final words were actually an F-bomb dropped on him, as a cop.

If we're to believe this retired police officer, Tupac was a bad boy until his very end, and didn't snitch to the police. The expletive was hurled at the police officer when he asked the rapper if he knew who shot him.

The officer recounts that on the night of the shooting, he approached the vehicle driven by Suge Knight with his gun drawn and told everyone to get down on the ground. Upon opening the door to the car, he claims that Tupac fell into his arms and he could see that he was bleeding badly from many gunshot wounds.

After he pulled Tupac out of the car, her asked him repeatedly “Who shot you?” Carroll claims that the rapper was unresponsive at first, and seemed to be in his own world, but he briefly came to just to curse at the office “[expletive] you!” he said, took a deep breath and drifted out of consciousness.

Later, the rapper would die in the hospital, after he never recovered consciousness, making those his final words, at least if we're to give credence to this cop's story told almost 20 years after the incident.

Chances are that the story is legitimate since it doesn't sound like it's been embellished and the former officer doesn't make it sound like he was the big hero of the day. Also, it corresponds with the image that Tupac projected through much of his career, that of a bad boy, constantly against the police and everything it stood for.

For all of you who don't know or don't remember, Tupac died after he was shot down in a drive-by in Las Vegas. He was just coming out after he saw the boxing match between Mike Tyson and Bruce Seldon at the MGM Grand. The shooter or shooters have never been identified and his murder remains one of the most famous and debated investigations of the century.

There have been many theories regarding as to who exactly would want to pull the trigger and kill Tupac, but no clear evidence was found in the case, and from what has emerged today, it seems that Tupac didn't want people finding out, at least not the police.
