The developers of Tumblr are telling fans to “get ready for a faster, completely-rebuilt app that’s better in every possible way.” And they’re not wrong. Users who update today will be greeted by a completely re-imagined dashboard view which makes it much easier to navigate the app, including a new image viewer, tag search, radar, and notifications in a single place.
Images are now high resolution, and there’s Spotify support. You also get improved photosets, new and improved post forms, faster uploads, a camera shortcut, a text post shortcut and last, but not leas, offline support – “post, like, reply, and reblog even when you’re not connected!”
The Tumblr app is compatible with iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPod touch (3rd generation), iPod touch (4th generation) and iPad and requires iOS 5.0 or later.
