A Chechen immigrant named Ibragim Todashev, killed by the FBI in a shootout, has allegedly been a factor in confirming Tamerlan Tsarnaev's involvement in a triple homicide.

As I wrote, the Boston bomber has been suspected of killing three men, one of whom was a close friend, in 2011.

Marijuana was placed on their lifeless bodies and police recovered a large sum of cash from the apartment they were in.

27-year-old Todashev allegedly spoke to agents about his hand in the killings, also implicating Tsarnaev.

CBS News writes that he met the bomber because they trained together for mixed martial arts. One of the men killed in Waltham, Massachusetts in 2011 also trained there.

Before he could give a written confession, he became confrontational and prompted a shooting by police, officials say.
