Trustwave and payment solutions provider Transaction Network Services (TNS) have entered a partnership to deliver an efficient point-to-point encryption service for payment card information, named by recent studies as the primary data type targeted by cybercriminals last year. The new service is designed to help organizations ensure that their customers’ credit and debit card details are not stolen by cybercriminals.

TNS data centers and networks will host Trustwave’s Point-to-Point Encryption technology. This will allow TNS to take encrypted transactions from merchants, decrypt the data, and forward it securely to acquirers or payment processors.

The service will operate as an open platform, and it will integrate various payment processors.

“Our role in the lifecycle of payment card data is to help keep it as safe as possible for the merchants and retailers we connect with the world's banks, acquirers and processors,” commented David Cronin of TNS.

“Trustwave's experience in data protection and PCI compliance combined with our global reach and payment processing technical capabilities creates the perfect recipe for effective data and cyber risk protection for businesses that process payment card information.”
