14 DAY TRIAL // Truphone 3.0 is seeing its release on the second supported Apple handheld, the iPod touch. The company developing the software noted that the immense success garnered by the iPhone version of Truphone 3.0 made them “keen to follow-up as quickly as possible for all [...] iPod touch customers.”
The Truphone user experience is now slicker and more intuitive than ever before, thanks to enhancements included with the 3.0 release, says the app's maker. Truphone, a free Voice-over-IP (VoIP) app for iPhone and iPod touch, also uses an account management tool, which, according to the developers, outpaces anything else currently available on the market. The app itself is, overall, faster and now works natively on both the iPhone, and the iPod touch. Lastly the application is touted by its makers as the best app of its kind on the market thanks to the improved call quality available with Truphone 3.0.
The instant-messaging (IM) tool allows users to manage all their IM communication from a single page within the application, eliminating the need to launch different applications, and switch through various accounts. Truphone supports IM services including Skype, MSN Messenger, AIM, Yahoo! Messenger and Google Talk.
