True Swing Golf, or Nintendo Touch Gold: Birdie Challenge, as it is known in Europe, is a video game created by T&E Soft and published by Nintendo itself for its DS handheld platform, released back on November 10, 2005, in Japan, November 25, 2005, in Europe, and January 23, 2006, in North America, on a DS cartridge, but was also made available as a digital download from the DSiWare service, on November 13, 2009, in Europe, and February 1, 2010, in America.
Like its name suggests, True Swing Golf is a golf simulator made for the Nintendo DS platform, which uses some of its special features, including the touchscreen, to replicate the golfing experience, and has multiple gameplay modes, from Stroke play, which emphasizes your golf strokes, to Match mode, where you play against an AI-controlled opponent, Free Round, where you can tackle various holes in different courses, or Championship, which acts as a story mode.
In Championship mode, you get to progress through different courses and competitions all over the world, while trying to become the greatest virtual golfer.
