A truck spilling over on a highway in Australia has created quite a mess, making this Monday memorable for commuters caught in traffic.

According to the Daily Telegraph, the tip truck was carrying treated human waste, which was spread over the Great Western Highway in Katoomba.

“A bobcat was called in and most of the waste put back into the truck,” a spokesman for the local fire department reports. That “most of” would make me nervous if I was living in the area.

At lunch time, the truck carrying what the driver described as fertilizer spilled the freight onto the highway.

The road was closed off as fire crews executed clean-up operations, and it was reopened by 2.30 p.m.

They dodged a bullet as the good weather prevented the waste from reaching the storm water system.
