Video game publisher Kalypso has announced that its Tropico 4 strategy game is set to get yet another expansion, called Modern Times, which will not feature Charlie Chaplin but will allow benevolent and tough rulers alike to enjoy the rapid advancement of science and create a truly modern nation.

Tropico 4 initially used the Cold War as a setting but dictators now have access to 30 whole new buildings, including skyscrapers, bio-farms, high rise condos and malls.

Classic buildings like banks, museums and apartments will also get modern versions that require an upgrade while the ruler gets access to another 10 edicts that he can use to control the lives of his citizens, some of them linked to such modern enterprises like the Internet, which can be controlled, or the launch of a Festival of Love.

The Modern Times expansion for Tropico 4 will be launched on the PC during March of this year for the price of 29.99 Euro and 39.99 dollars.
