Kanye West went all Kanye West on Beck at the Grammys 2015 last month, interrupting him when he won Album of the Year and then telling the press that he (Beck) should have handed the award to Beyonce, because she deserved it and he didn’t.

The rapper has since apologized, saying he would even love to work with Beck on a new song. Now that’s the highest word of praise you can ever hope to get from Yeezus - but it’s not enough for one Beck fan, who is now in full trolling mode.

Kanye West was at his rudest and most arrogant at the Grammy Awards, and he was so towards a guy who did nothing to wrong him. Beck has been working in the industry for a very long time, and while he might not have the kind of support online Beyonce gets from the fans (the Beyhive), that doesn’t mean he’s less of an artist or that he didn’t deserve to win.

The bottom line is that Kanye was very wrong in acting the way he did, as if he was the only indicator in the entire industry of who’s more deserving of an award - nay, as if he was the only one entitled to speak up and against a winner.

Beck fans won’t let this go too easily, no matter how many apologies Kanye posts to Twitter, more or less sincere than the one that’s already online (see the tweets below).

One fan in particular is putting his money where his mouth is, so right now, www.loser.com redirects visitors directly to Kanye West’s Wikipedia page. Fact Magazine says that only a fan of Beck would go through the trouble and the expense of buying what must be an expensive URL just to teach Yeezus a long-overdue lesson in humility.

Ironically, “Loser” is also the name of one of Beck’s biggest hits, released in 1994.

Kanye is playing nice for the time being

Kanye either hasn’t heard of this or he’s too busy promoting his upcoming album and his first collection with Adidas Originals to take the time out of his schedule to address this. But when he will do, it’ll probably be epic.

As noted above, he’s apologized to Beck, but only in a half-hearted manner that also included an apology for Bruno Mars, which was, in turn, a mere excuse to ask him to sing the hook on a song he had planned with Taylor Swift.

Kanye West is a genius (in his own mind) and he’s not afraid to go on camera saying it; it would be useless to expect anything more from him than this. So for the time being, let’s enjoy this brilliant instant of trolling from this unnamed hero / Beck fan.
