It's supposed to be able to move anywhere at any time, without help

Robots usually need to incorporate locomotion in order to accomplish whatever they are meant to do, but for Toby Baumgartner's invention the situation is different.

The project he came up with, and which still needs $2,600 in order to get off the ground, is for a robot whose whole purpose is to move around, mostly by curling up into a wheel and rolling off.

Kickstarter is hosting the fund-raising, the same way it started off the Pebble watch and the HAND Stylus on their road of life.

Toby Baumgartner only needs better servos, Wi-Fi parts and an accelerometer in order to finish building the Troller 1D, as the creature is called. After that, he'll be offering DIY kits (do-it-yourself) so that anyone, even you, may put one together.

Just keep in mind that weak-hearted relatives, particularly elders, should be warned that you own this thing.
