Data Design Interactive has announced that its Nintendo Wii developers are trying to get "Trixie in Toyland" to reach Gold status before the end of 2007. The game already has the Nintendo approval and, if they manage to do it in time, it will be the 12th of 14 Popcam Arcade titles released this year.

The Myth Makers' Toyland is a mythical, magical world where the fearless Trixie single handedly will chase down Penumbra - the new Tyrant of Toyland. His name is Evil Penumbra, leader of the Acrostic Riders, the one who has stolen the Myth Makers Orbs and hidden them in Toyland. Of course, Trixie must explore every inch of the world in order to fulfill her quest and find the stolen Magical Orbs that will return balance to the Myth Realm. But, as you probably expect it, this won't be an easy job.

The Nintendo Wii's controllers will be fully used in this title, where the player controlling Trixie will have to use the nunchuk and bash evil toys with her magic baton by swinging the Wii Remote. Enemies should be defeated with multiple attacks, for better scores and personal satisfaction. You can bunny hop on their heads or attack from the distance using the Wii Remote to target Trixie's magical spells.

Also, completing stages allows you to open special bonus levels featuring totally different modes of play and, in order to achieve that, you will have to complete Myth Maker quests by collecting hidden objects and special pickups. Of course, you've got to have them all, and they're not easy to find!

Myth Makers: Trixie In Toyland is a single player family friendly game that can be played by anybody, from kids to adults. And who wouldn't like to explore the Toyland universe, one filled with mazes and other obstacles, to defeat the evil Penumbra and return balance to the Myth Realm?
