The Japanese division of lingerie giant Triumph is making headlines again for a concept bra that is inspired by the international economic climate. They call it the “Branomics Bra” or the “Abenomics Bra,” and it’s pictured in the photo attached to this article.

Japan has a history of kooky concept bras which, as you may have guessed, are never made to be mass produced and sold.

In previous years, Triumph introduced the bra with solar panels or the bra that doubled as a shopping bag, all meant to improve – at least in theory – the wearer’s life.

The same goes for the Abenomics Bra, Reuters reports.

It offers a proper lift and serious boost in cleavage, thanks to lots of padding. It is also inspired by recent events on the political scene.

“The ‘Branomics Bra’ is a playful take on prime minister Shinzo Abe's ‘three-arrow’ economic revival plan that combines monetary strategy aiming to reach 2% inflation in two years and pro-growth reforms,” the report notes.

“It features a rising trendline and arrows as motifs and promises a 2% increase in volume with extra padding,” adds the same media outlet.

In other words, it’s meant as a companion to the economic growth promised by the Prime Minister.

“We hope that, as the Japanese economy grows, we can also help bust sizes to get bigger,” Triumph spokeswoman Keiko Masuda says for Reuters.

In 2010, Triumph Japan proposed another type of bra that would have helped the economy, in a way: a bra and panties set that actually doubled as an all-you-need kit for starting your own rice crop, as we also reported at the time.

It even included mirrors and medal pieces to scare off birds that might want to prey on the rice crop, and sewn-in gloves. By comparison, the Abenomics Bra is rather tame.
