Microsoft has launched Windows 8, PC makers have revealed their compatible PCs, hardware makers are showing their mainboards, video boards, memory and whatever else and, now, audio products are getting the attention they are due as well.

Much like ASUS, Mad Catz has something that gamers might like, something that should already be up for sale in the US, at $199.99 / 155-199.99 Euro.

Called Tritton Pro True 5.1 Surround Sound Headset, it is a set of headphones with Dolby Digital technology, a 12-foot cable (3.7 meters), optical audio input, a frequency response of 25 Hz to 20 kHz and inline volume control.

It is possible to separately adjust the sound made by one's own PC / game console and the sound coming from others (like voice chat during games).

The Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3 consoles are mentioned as the intended host devices.
