Facebook is expanding its Instant Personalization program with the introduction of support for TripAdvisor. Any time you visit the site, you will be able to see any of your friends' vacation spots and reviews. The idea is to make the site more social and uncover information that will probably be the most relevant to you, what your friends liked or didn't like.

"Facebook has partnered with TripAdvisor to help you tap your friends' travel experiences and plan the perfect trip," Facebook announced.

"Starting today, when you visit TripAdvisor while logged into Facebook, the site will become your personalized travel planner, complete with friends' reviews, a map showing places friends have visited, and a list of their most popular destinations," it added.

TripAdvisor features user reviews of hotels, restaurants and other places that may come in handy when planning a trip. It also enables users to book a room in advanced and has other trip-related tools.

Now, whenever available, reviews and info from your friends will be displayed. This has been one of the great promises of social data, the ability to provide an experience most relevant to you. Your friends' opinions will always be more valuable than that of strangers online.Facebook

"TripAdvisor is a new instant personalization partner and becomes customized for you by using your public information and list of friends from Facebook to show you friends' reviews and other content you might find interesting," Facebook added.

Instant Personalization is being slowly rolled out, but there are still only a handful of partners. Facebook has had enough privacy scandals so maybe it's taking it slowly this time. Or maybe it's just testing out the feature with a few partners in a more controlled fashion before making available wider.

The feature was introduced earlier this year and, though it raised some privacy questions when it was revealed, users haven't been too alarmed by Instant Personalization so far.
