Dear Linux gamers, the wait is over, as Frozenbyte unleashed a few days ago the Linux version for its award winning Trine 2 cross-platform game.

Trine 2 is a side-scrolling puzzle adventure/action game developed by the Finnish studio Frozenbyte, will be ported to Linux and officially launched sometime during 2012.

There's no official announcement from Frozenbyte about the Linux client but it is available for download if you purchase it from here.

Sadly, Frozenbyte describes the Linux client of Trine 2 as a "testing version" for the moment, therefore users who bought the game encountered various issues. See the Trine 2 for Linux forum topic for more details.

However, the good news is that the developers are trying hard to fix all the nasty bugs, and they promise that the final version ofTrine 2 for Linux will be available for download in the Humble Store, without extra fees.

Buy Trine 2 for $14.99 (11.22 EUR) or Trine 2: Collector's Edition for $24.99 (18.71 EUR) right now from the official website.
