Finnish developer Frozenbyte, the studio behind the downloadable Trine 2: Director's Cut game for the Nintendo Wii U, has confirmed that the first update for the game will bring support for the special Wii U Pro Controller.

The Wii U is now available almost around the world and with it a variety of retail games as well as downloadable ones, including Trine 2: Director's Cut.

Sadly, the downloadable puzzle platformer doesn't come with support for the Wii U's Pro Controller, as developer Frozenbyte has just confirmed that it couldn't get it in the game because it didn't actually receive such a controller from Nintendo.

The studio has also revealed that it has received such a peripheral and is now working on implementing support for it in the game.

As such, according to GoNintendo, the first update for Trine 2: Director's Cut will include the actual Pro Controller support and is scheduled to be released in mid-December.
