A special gameplay mode and the upcoming expansion is included in this version

Frozenbyte has confirmed that it’s going to bring Trine 2: Director’s Cut onto the Nintendo Wii U this holiday season, which features both the original game that appeared last year, as well as a new gameplay mode, called Magic Mayhem, and the upcoming expansion pack.

Trine 2 delivered a stunning puzzle platformer experience last year on the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.

Since then, Frozenbyte has been working on a hefty expansion pack for the game and on the Wii U exclusive Trine 2: Director’s Cut edition, as we heard during Nintendo’s E3 2012 press conference.

Besides the full-fledged game, which has been polished and adapted for the Wii U, the Director’s Cut will feature an exclusive Magic Mayhem mode, as well as the upcoming add-on.
