Frozenbyte has just confirmed that it will be releasing its Trine 2 puzzle platformer onto the PlayStation 3, via the PlayStation Network, today, December 20, in North America, and tomorrow, December 21, in Europe.

Trine 2 was already released earlier this month on the PC and Mac platforms via Steam, and now its developer, Frozenbyte, is taking it to other devices, including the PlayStation 3, this week, as well as the Xbox 360 or Linux, in the near future.

We already reviewed Trine 2 on the PC and found it to be a stunning little game, with great graphics, clever puzzles and some pretty nifty combat mechanics that could be leveled up thanks to an upgrade mechanic.

Now, PlayStation 3 owners can also enjoy this great game, as it’s going to appear on the PlayStation Store later today, in North America, and tomorrow, in Europe. Until it goes live, check out the previously released launch trailer above.
