Recently, a new version of Trillian for Android has been made available for download with a nice range of enhancements included into the mix, namely Trillian for Android 1.0 Build 110.

According to the development team, the new release, delivered to beta testers, comes with the possibility to group the contact list by service, or to have a 'no groups' mode activated.

Moreover, the new iteration of Trillian for Android enables the owners of handsets running under the Froyo iteration of the OS to benefit from Google’s C2DM service, which means that they should get their notifications in an instant.

One thing that they would have to make sure of, provided that they would like to try out the new feature, is that the battery saving preference is enabled.

In addition to these new features, a wide range of bug fixes has been packed into the new release, including:

- Away Message: Variable %time% not converted - Changing Screen Orientation Loses Message Text - Image in chat has black box after opening - .jpg file association with trillian - Long Press on tab - Incorrect password activity has no buttons - Support for metacontact children selection - Turning the phone removes non-sent messages - Update link is blank page - WLM shows as disconnected when connected - XMPP doesn't show Away status in accounts list

At the same time, the release notes of the new mobile application version show that issues with the disappearing text or with self re-opening chat have been solved too.

Some other fixes include a resolved problem with the Android Client that does not receive correct server name from jabber account, as well as some with the disabled Identity panel visible after visiting home screen.

Those who already have Trillian for Android installed on their devices should be notified on the new enhancements as soon as they fire up the application.

In case there are some who did not install the software solution until now, they will find it available for download from Softpedia too, via this link.
