Mobile applications developer Cerulean Studios has just announced the release of updated versions of two of their software solutions available for handset users, namely Trillian for Android and Trillian for BlackBerry.

This would be the second update the company brings to Trillian for Android, following the release of 1.0 Build 110 on September 28.

The new Trillian for Android 1.0 Build 117 includes two fixes, one for black screen on suspende, and the other for having messages hidden until tab is reopened.

According to the company, the new release is available for all users, who can either download the new app from the link below, or can exit the app on their phones and re launch it to receive the update.

While the Android flavor of Trillian got only small fixes, the BlackBerry version of the application was updated from 1.0 to 1.1 beta.

“Fresh off the release of Trillian 1.0 for BlackBerry to App World, we’re back with an exciting new update in version 1.1! Two of our most popular feature requests, message inbox integration and landscape support, arrive in 1.1,” the company announced via its blog.

The new Trillian for BlackBerry 1.1 beta was released mainly for testing purposes, and all those interested in giving it a try should download it, install it and send feedback on the issues they find.

When the final release of the new Trillian for Blackberry is available, those who purchased the app will receive a free update.

As for what has been included in the new version of the app, we can count:

- Landscape support. - Messages inbox integration. - New emoticon button and browser. - Group contact list by service. - Option to start Trillian on device boot. - Much faster opening of message windows. - ‘Connect all’ and ‘disconnect all’ options. - Various bugfixes and minor improvements.
