Trigcom and Research In Motion announced the launch of the BlackBerry Curve 8900 in Norway. The smartphone brings email, messaging, organizer, web browser and multimedia applications, as well as global connectivity support, built-in GPS, Wi-Fi, a high-resolution display and a next-generation 512Mhz processor.

The BlackBerry Curve 8900 offers quad-band connectivity and support for EDGE network, and it also brings customers BlackBerry Internet Service and BlackBerry Enterprise Server usage. More connectivity is available through the built-in Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g), while its 2.4-inch HVGA+ display delivers a 480×360 pixel resolution and vivid colors.

The smartphone also includes a 3.2-megapixel camera with auto focus, digital zoom and flash. The photos taken with the camera can be either stored, using the microSD/SDHC memory card slot that supports up to 16GB of removable storage, or easily uploaded on the Internet so that friends can also see them. Users would be able to carry with them any favorite songs and videos and enjoy them while on the go.

The handset measures only 109 x 60 x 13.5 millimeters and weighs 110 grams. The BlackBerry Curve 8900 sports a full-QWERTY keyboard and an intuitive trackball navigation system. Its sleek and refined design feels comfortable whether it is used with one or two hands at the same time.
