A folk song written by a Canadian artist a few years back is drawing viral buzz after being used in tribute videos for the 19 firefighters killed in Arizona.

As I wrote, the death of the Prescott Granite Mountain Hotshots has been on everybody's lips these days, after they died putting out a wildfire in Yarnell.

According to USA Today, the song – featured above – was written in honor of the 13 firemen that died in 1949 in Mann Gulch, Montana, by James Keelaghan and performed first by Richard Shindell, then by Cry Cry Cry.

"Certainly over the past couple of days there has been probably hundreds of things on Facebook, where people have referenced the firefighters and then hooked it to some version of the song," Keelaghan describes.
