RedLynx wants to bring many new things to its recent game

RedLynx, the Ubisoft-owned team behind the recent Trials Fusion, has confirmed that it's working hard on developing new free features for the physics-based racing title, as well as on premium DLC that will be offered in the following months.

Trials Fusion appeared back in April and delivered a great experience worthy of the Trials name by bringing back not only the same physics-based racing action, but also lots of new elements and plenty of challenges or FMX mini-games.

Currently, Ubisoft's RedLynx team is working on the first premium DLC pack for the experience, in the form of Riders of the Rustlands, as well as on free updates for the game.

According to RedLynx's Antti Ilvessuo, the team has largely stayed the same in terms of headcount, as the studio wants to support Fusion in a variety of great ways.

"There are more features, content and fixes coming. Players sometimes tend to overestimate the amount of change that can be made in the short-term but underestimate the amount of change that comes in the long run. Fusion is a long-term deal for us and we are committed to this game – to listening and making it better now," he told UbiBlog.

The Trials team has remained the same, as a lot of work is needed to develop the six planned DLC packs, as well as the different free features that will be released via updates in the future.

"As for the Trials team size, it is basically the same size as before the launch and we are absolutely focused on the six DLCs that are coming as well as all of the upcoming free features and enhancements we will be adding to the game," he added.

"These include things like Tournaments, which was released just two weeks ago along with some improvements to Track Central; the online multiplayer, which we will release later this year; and something we haven’t talked about yet, but is our next feature: Teams."

According to Ilvessuo, the Teams system allows players to form their own clans online and compete against others on different tracks in tournaments. Online competitive action will also be offered in the future, but not at the debut of the feature.

He has also mentioned that lots of other interesting things are on RedLynx's roadmap, so fans should look forward to a few more surprises in the future.

Trials Fusion will get its first add-on later this month in the form of Riders of the Rustlands, which brings new tracks and much more.
