Looking for ways to further expand its line of all-in-one desktop computer systems, TriGem Computer announced the launch of its new 25.5-inch flagship all-in-one PC, the D1200. Designed to deliver an impressive multimedia experience and packed with some of the latest hardware components on the market, the new Averatec computer system comes as the company's largest all-in-one PC. Being built on Intel's GS45 chipset, the D1200 offers a choice between the integrated X4500HD Intel graphics and NVIDIA's MXM 9300MGS graphics chip, with 256MB of memory.

“With its sleek, contemporary AIO design and crisp LCD, the D1200 is an ideal system for power users and those looking for a computer that can function both as a PC and TV,” said Henry Hewitt, vice president of sales at TriGem USA. “The system's affordable price point makes this innovative technology and design accessible to a broader segment of customers. The D1200 is an ideal solution for those who are 'space challenged' and need a PC/TV combo that fits easily in apartments, dormitories, bedrooms, kitchens and smaller homes and offices.”

As far as technical specifications go, the system is ready to deliver the performance enabled by a Core 2 Duo/Quad Core processor, coupled with up to 4GB of DDR2 memory and a high-capacity 3.5-inch 500GB hard disk drive. Additional features include support for both wireless and wired LAN connectivity, as well as a built-in 2MP webcam and 10W stereo speakers. Users will also be able to benefit from an 8x slot-in DVD drive and a built-in hybrid digital/analog TV tuner.

Packing Microsoft's Windows Vista Home Premium operating system, the D1200 comes with a one-year warranty and will be available for a starting price tag of US$999. Weighing in at just 16.1kg, the new AIO from Averatec provides users with an alternative to similar products on the market, including Apple's iMacs.
