The new paid packages from Trendrr bring a number of new features and capabilities

Trendrr, a service that lets users follow a number of statistics and graphs about a company or person, has just expanded its offering and introduced a set of freemium services, called Trendrr Pro, for those who want more functionality and data. The paid packages start at $49 a month and top out at $999 for the full-blown offering.

The service enables users to follow any number of trends in Brands, Music, Politics etc. on a multitude of platforms like social networks, blogs, torrents, Amazon, Craigslist, Twitter, Google, MySpace and video sites. The trends and activity can be tracked over time and can be compared or mashed together depending on what the users are interested in.

The free service offers tracking for up to 10 trends at a time but those looking for more can now opt for the paid packages. The first one, called “Gold,” starts at $49 a month and offers the ability to track 30 trends as well as unlimited alerts and limited reports on the subjects. The “Premium” package comes for $250 a month with a maximum of 120 trends to follow, also unlimited alerts but full reports and organization for up to three projects. The most expensive package, the “Elite,” costs a hefty $999 a month but adds the possibility to track 1,000 trends and comes with unlimited alerts, full reports and organization for an unlimited number of projects.

While the service offers some pretty powerful tools for regular users or small businesses it may lack in certain areas for enterprise level businesses. It's not the volume of data coming in, which is quite sufficient, it is the way it is sometimes handled – for example there are inconsistencies in the intervals at which the data is updated. Still the site offers a very compelling set of services and could benefit a lot of people researching or keeping up with certain topics.
