14 DAY TRIAL // In the last few years IP surveillance cams have pretty much replaced their CCTV counterparts, Trendnet continuing this movement with two new Internet cameras that future pan, tilt and zoom controls, providing home users and small businesses with a powerful enterprise class surveillance platform.
Sharing pretty much the same feature set, the main difference between this latest Trendnet offerings is their networking support, as the TV-IP612WN comes with 802.11n wireless support while the TV-IP612P settles for Ethernet connectivity.
Moving past this small difference however, reveals two surprisingly similar cameras, both featuring an 10x optical zoom system as well as 330 degrees panning.
Video recording is handled at 704x480/30 fps resolution for the main video stream, other three 176x122 video feeds being also broadcasted simultaneously if the users so desires.
Furthermore, Trendnet's new cameras also come with an infra red filter to provide night vision capabilities and when installed upside down, the image can be flipped and mirrored in order for users to see a video image that is not inverted.
Creating a recording schedule and defining up to two motion detection windows is also possible, a micro-SD card slot providing users with an alternative to storing video on a network attached drive.
As far as other features go, these cameras come with built in microphone, a port to connect third party speakers, an additional microphone-in port as well as all the required input and output ports necessary for connecting them to a alarm system.

Both of these offerings are available right now for purchase, the TV-IP612P retailing for $899.99 while the wireless enabled TV-IP612WN is shipping for $999.99.
