Trend Micro Incorporated announced Email Security Services, a comprehensive
hosted email protection service that provides an alternative to managing onsite hardware or software at the messaging gateway for small and medium businesses.

For organizations with limited IT staff, Email Security Services provide worry-free security with an easy-to-use web-based administration console.

In addition to detailed reports on threats blocked, content filtering settings and policy management options, this service offers a unique mail tracking tool that allows the administrator to quickly locate and determine the status of any message received by the system.

"Trend Micro has clearly brought to market a channel-friendly business model for hosted services that empowers the solution provider. We have already begun successfully implementing Email Security Services for our SMB clients and look forward to continuing to offer this new managed service to CHS' customer base," said John Gray, vice president at CHS.

Trend Micro is offering in North America three levels of services:

- Anti-Spam Service (Service Level 1): Offers an easy, cost-effective solution to help eliminate spam based on IP reputation and provides reports and message tracking; for 100 users, the suggested retail pricing is $795 per year.

- Basic Email Security Service (Service Level 2): Builds upon Anti-Spam Service to provide additional security against spam, viruses and malicious code, for 100 users, the suggested retail pricing is $1,596 per year.

- Extended Email Security Service (Service Level 3): Combines Basic Service with content filtering and policy management for message compliance through a remote console; for 100 users, the suggested retail pricing is $2,280 per year.

Email Security Services will be available in North America immediately.
