14 DAY TRIAL // Command and control (C&C) communications are an important part of targeted attacks and advanced persistent threats (APTs). That’s why Trend Micro has made some improvements to its Custom Defense solution to ensure that C&C communications are identified and blocked before any damage is caused.
The new C&C functions include enhanced identification and tracking of communications in the cloud and on the organization’s network, centralized alerts and risk intelligence, built-in detection of C&C communications, adaptive security updates that inform products of new detections, and open web services APIs.
In order to provide a high level of protection, Custom Defense is powered by Trend Micro’s Smart Protection Network, which automatically identifies active C&C sites all over the world, and the company’s threat researchers who continually detect evasive measures taken by cybercriminals.
Custom Defense’s new C&C functions will be integrated in Endpoint Security; Server, Virtualization and Cloud Security; Network Security; Messaging Security; Web Security; and Central Management products.
