Given the fact that the number of companion gadgets we surround ourselves with on a daily basis has increased quite a lot over the past few years, the people over at Quirky have designed a very interesting storage solution for all of our electronic companions, namely the Trek Support backpack, that will also provide some interesting charging features.

So, the main selling point the Trek Support will offer is the removable battery-powered USB gadget dock, which can charge up to three electronic items at a time and includes 4 pockets that fit iPads/eReaders, phones, MP3 players, portable gaming systems, cameras, and other gadgets.

The battery should last for around 7 hours, depending on the devices being charged, and it's also important to mention that, similar to the rest of the back, this section is manufactured from padded nylon, with air mesh on the bottom so the battery can breathe.

The backpack itself sports a large main compartment, with a wrap-around clamshell opening and an outer zippered pocket for essentials like wallets and passports, as well as a secondary zippered compartment, with a bungee strap and inner pockets, plus a couple of extra pockets on the straps, for carrying around a mobile phone and/or MP3 player and headphones.

Additionally, we'll have to point out that this thing is manufactured from a durable waterproof rip-stop nylon, with rubber-coated zippers and open-air mesh padding on the back and straps for comfort and support while in use.

Last, but certainly not least, we'll also point out that the backpack features a detachable, TSA-friendly laptop sleeve at the rear, designed specifically for travelers and meant to work with most laptops with up to 15” screens.

Unfortunately, for the time being, we're only talking about a product that's being proposed for manufacturer on Quirky, at an estimated retail price of around 130 US dollars, so it remains to be seen whether the members of this very active and interesting community will ultimately turn it into a real product or not.
