Shape Services, a mobile software developer for all the existent mobile platforms (including Blackberry, i-mode, BREW, Palm, HipTop, Windows Mobile, Java and the Symbian sub-platforms), has launched the "Treasure Island", a game that comes with a whole different approach to the mobile gaming.

The main objective of the game is to collect as much treasures as possible going across an island and digging for the gold you want so much.

The other players taking part at the same time in this quest for treasures also have to search for prizes but there is a catch to this whole thing: you and the other game players have the chance to win real prizes consisting of software, ringtones or wallpapers for your mobile devices, games, mobile phones and even cash. If this isn't a way to make you dig all day long I don't know what is!

The game's developer is in search for distribution partners who can choose the way the game is distributed, for free or for a small fee, or what prizes the players may win.

The only thing Shape reserve for themselves is the generation of the in-game unique maps for each round of digging.

Igor Berezovsky, Shape Services' CEO, has said that they "welcome all interested parties from mobile carriers, service providers and phone manufacturers to supermarkets, fast food restaurants and bookstores. Brand partners will surely appreciate the fact that Treasure Island stimulates the loyalty of the most active young group to their brand."

If you want to be a part of the digging mania and be one of the people taking part in a game with MMORPG flavor, head over here and register a free account.

Next thing you'll know is that you are already making money and winning prizes by playing games on your mobile phone!
