Ubisoft has confirmed that it's organizing a brand new multiplayer event in the online mode of Assassin's Creed 3, this time in the form of Treason, which tasks players with surviving waves in the new Wolfpack mode.

Assassin's Creed 3 impressed lots of people with its great story but also kept players hooked on its experience thanks to a special multiplayer mode.

Since the game's release last year, Ubisoft has been organizing special multiplayer events in which the community is challenged to complete certain tasks and unlock different costumes for their characters.

Now, the new Treason event has just been revealed to the world, which gives players a double XP boost if they kill enough opponents in the Wolfpack mode starting today, January 18.

Check out all of the rewards for the event below, via the official forums.

"- Community reward is a double XP boost and a 40% discount on all Warrior packs from Monday, January 21st (3:00 AM PST, 11:00 AM GMT) or from the moment the community reaches the goal if they reach it later, to Wednesday, January 23rd (3:00 AM PST, 11:00 AM GMT). - Individual reward is a new relic to wear proudly during all your games. - Participation reward is a special title to thank you for taking part in the effort."

Bear in mind that past conditions apply, as players will have to start new online matches either by selecting the Events category from the main menu or by creating a custom match with the Event setting in the game category section.

In case you're not sure how you can unlock the different rewards, check out Ubisoft's explanation below.

"- Participation Challenge: the only condition for this is to participate in the event at any point before it ends. (Yes, you will be rewarded for this.) - Individual Challenge: this challenge requires *you* to accomplish a certain objective. And obviously, the reward for that one is more interesting than the reward for the Participation Challenge. - Community Challenge: this challenge requires a massive effort on behalf of the community to unlock the reward – and that one is a very special one. Once community reaches the goal, the community reward is unlocked for everybody."

Considering plenty of people are still quite active in the Assassin's Creed 3 multiplayer across the PC, PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii U platforms, expect Ubisoft to continue organizing different events.
