One Redditor has reminded us all about how fun the traveling gnome prank is. In case you haven't heard about it, the stunt consists of taking a garden gnome on your travels and taking photos of it in different locations.

This post has been submitted by user SchuminWeb and it has been upvoted more than 8,300 times.

He also uploads a photo of a gnome in London, England, posing in front of the Big Ben landmark.

The photo links to Wikipedia, and the site informs that there is even a "Garden Gnome Liberation Front" dedicated to such photos.

The stunt used to be known as taking the gnome "back to the wild" or freeing it from your yard. Phil Tibble might have debuted the tradition in Australia in the 80s.
