HeroCraft, the well-known Russian developer and publisher of mobile content, announced today the future availability of Travel Genius. Presented as a "geographical quiz", Travel Genius is a new game for smartphones and Pocket PCs, set to make geography a fun science to learn.

Travel Genius wants to be a simple game that can test your geography knowledge while at the same time helping you learn more about our world. You'll get to discover capitals, oceans, mountains, famous battlegrounds and other important places.

HeroCraft does dot give too many details about how exactly the game is played, but since it's a quiz it is probably packed with lots of questions that you will have to answer.

The game's features include:

- two playing modes (Simple and Timed); - 6 maps with more than 700 locations; - no less than 8 different graphic themes; - detailed statistics, to better help you in your geographic explorations; - and a bonus Arcade mini-game.

All in all, HeroCraft's Travel Genius seems like a cool game for all those who are eager to learn something new everyday. And the best part is that they will be able to do that anywhere and at any time as long as they have their mobile device around.

Travel Genius will be compatible with the following platforms:

- Windows Mobile 2003; - Windows Mobile 2003 SE; - Windows Mobile 5.x; - Windows Mobile 6 (Classic / Professional / Standard); - Symbian 7 / 8 / 9.x OS (S60); - Symbian 7 / 9.x OS (UIQ); - and Palm 5.x.

HeroCraft says that the new quiz game is set for an august 25 launch, so we're waiting to get our mobile hands on it in order to play and review it. Until then, we'd better look for our old atlases to brush up on our geography. I, for one, can't remember if the capital of Madagascar is Antananarivo or Banananarivo. But I hope I'll figure it out soon.
