Travel Comfortably with World Traveler

One of the most enjoyed services available for most of the Symbian smartphone users, World Traveler, developed by Psiloc, comes up with a new, innovative, open platform, which greatly eases the whole process of travel, being either recreational or a business trip. The latest 1.0.3 version offers some free and premium services under the form of plugins, which can be added to the application. Besides the five-day weather forecast for more than 5,000 cities provided by Foreca, users will be able to track down the flights they need and be alerted, all within one single user interface. All this can be only acquired if they have an Internet connection available on their device, as World Traveler will ask them for an access point whenever it updates the weather or flight schedule.

The first time you start World Traveler, the application will pinpoint your location and set the default city accordingly. Other free or premium plugins include: World Clock, which can display up to four cities, Currencies, which automatically converts using your location into about 184 exchange rates, World Map, in the form of a 3D globe that shows the whole day-and-night cycle on the planet. You can choose to install or remove certain plugins available for World Traveler, by using the Plug-in Manager, which has been integrated into the application.


The most powerful service offered by the application, Flights, requires a subscription, which is obtained by getting a license. Anyway, both free trial and paid licenses are available through World Traveler. The Flight service will enable you to select, track and be alerted of flights. You'll be able to search by flight number, by location, you can create an alert or remove it. In addition to English, World Traveler is localized in another 18 languages: Arabic, Chinese HK, Chinese PRC, Chinese TW, English US, French, French CA, German, Hebrew, Indonesian, Italian, Polish, Portuguese, Portuguese BR, Russian, Spanish, Spanish AM, Ukrainian.


World Traveler is free to download, but, depending on what plugins you intend to use, you'll have to pay through the Open Licenser service included in the application.
