Trapt (also known as TßAPT), released in Japan as Kagero II: Dark Illusion, is a PlayStation 2 real time action/strategy game by Tecmo. The game uses a number of features that are also used by Deception, an earlier game from Tecmo.

The player assumes the role of Princess Allura, who has been framed for the murder of her father, King Olaf. On the night of the
king's murder, Allura is accused of killing her father from the words of her stepmother Catalina. With the help from her friend Rachel, Allura is able to escape into the forest. On the run from assassins, she acquires the ability to set violent and lethal traps, which are the only means she has of defending herself from her pursuers. Each character in the game has a unique death scene.

There are total of three official endings in the game and one that is not registered when saved onto the game file but is considered as an ending. The "secret traps" are unlocked when you complete the appropriate ending. No additional traps are gained with the "bad ending", however it must be played it out in order to achieve a 100% completion score.

Ending A - This occurs in chapter 14 if Allura chooses to battle her opponent and wins.
Ending B - Occurs in chapter 15 if Allura chooses not to battle in chapter 14, and loses the final showdown against the fiend in the last chapter.
Ending C - As Ending B, but if Allura wins the battle against the fiend.
"The Bad Ending" - In chapter 10, Allura is given a choice to continue her quest, or flee her kingdom. If she chooses to flee, Allura is confronted and must win the battle.

Gameplay Hints

Easy 5-hit combo in the Torture Room
Set up a spring board facing the crucifix (spiked wheel on the wall). The spring board should be one square away from the crucifix. Put the pendulum in between the springboard and the crucifix facing the wall, so that it pushes them into the wall. Place the saw blade on the wall pointing toward the electric chairs. Once set up, here is how it works. Lure them to the spring board and set it off using X. They will hit the crucifix and become stuck for a moment. Press Triangle to launch the pendulum. After the pendulum hits, use the sawblade to push the crucifix down the stairs and into the electric chair. This creates a 5-hit combo that should kill most enemies in one pass without having to repeat the process.
