14 DAY TRIAL // OpenTTD, an open source simulation game based on the popular Microprose title "Transport Tycoon Deluxe" written by Chris Sawyer, is now at version 1.4.0 Beta 2.
OpenTTD has improved the original game in many areas, starting with the maps, which are now 64 times bigger than they were in Transport Tycoon Deluxe.
According to the changelog, the blitter auto-selection is now based on full animation state, so a non-animated specialized blitter will generally be chosen when the animation has been turned off.
Also, a specialized SSE 4.1 sprite sorter has been implemented, improving the sorting performance significantly, and visual effects now work for articulated RV parts.
