A court has allowed a 6-year-old transgender from Colorado to use the girls' bathroom at her school.

As I wrote, Coy Mathis was banned from using the female restroom by school officials weary about girls being exposed to male body parts at a young age.

However, Mathis' parents took the case to The Colorado Civil Rights Division where it has received a lot of attention.

Eagleside Elementary School in Fountain has lost the discrimination suit, but the Mathis family has moved to Denver, KDVR reports.

The Transgender Legal Defense & Education Fund dubs the legal win a victory for the LGBT community.

“All we ever wanted was for Coy’s school to treat her the same as other little girls. We are extremely happy that she now will be treated equally,” mom Kathryn Mathis says.
