Jagex Games Studio has released a trailer video for its upcoming game Transformers Universe, a browser-based free-to-play multiplayer game set in the popular world of vehicle-morphing automatons.

The developers announced that the game was going to feel more like a multiplayer online battle arena than a classical massively multiplayer online role-playing game, the focus being shifted more toward the tactical approach.

Players will become the leaders of a Transformer faction and will be able to recruit, train, and manage a squad of robots that will battle other similar outfits in various arena settings.

The trailer so far shows a lot of punching, swording, and shooting action, keeping in tone with the official claims of fast-paced action, but revealing nothing about the actual gameplay.

The title is currently scheduled for release sometime during the summer of 2014.
