The two new characters deliver more damage in vehicle form

The development team at Jagex Games Studio and Hasbro announce that they are bringing two new characters to Transformers Universe, Swagger and Diabla, in order to introduce motorbikes to the Multiplayer Online Battle Arena title and give fans more options on the battlefield.

The company says that the new characters are designed to offer more agility while they are in their vehicle form and some new abilities that open up new tactics when they morph into robots.

Swagger is an Autobot of the Interceptor class who has access to a cloaking device, which means that he is the best choice when it comes to hit-and-run moments, a perfect choice when the Decepticon players have reduced defenses and are unable to spot him.

Diabla is a Decepticon that focuses on dealing damage to enemies while staying in the fight for longer periods of time than its teammates, with abilities that allow gamers to focus all their firepower on one particular enemy.

Both new characters for Transformers Universe also deliver more damage when they stay in vehicle form.

More details about the launch of both Diabla and Swagger is offered on the official site of the MOBA.

David Nicholson, the vice president of Transformers Universe, states, “We have already seen some truly heroic battles being played out in our first weeks of Open BETA, but the introduction of these agile bots will bring a new dimension for both Autobot and Decepticon players alike.”

He adds, “As the first bots to roll out since we entered Open BETA at the start of July, Swagger and Diabla represent our continued commitment to delivering regular content updates, an extensive range of characters, and real depth of combat.”

Transformers Universe can be played directly in a browser, or it can be downloaded and installed on the PC and Mac devices.

The MOBA title will continue to get both more character and balance updates from Jagex in the coming months, with most of them based on the feedback coming from the player community.

The genre is at the moment dominated by titles like League of Legends from Riot Games and DOTA 2 from Valve, and Blizzard is also planning to deliver an important experience with its own Heroes of the Storm.

Transformers Universe aims to become interesting because of its association with the wider toy and movie universe, but it’s unclear whether the title can be relevant in the long term.
