Glu Mobile, the famous American game developer and publisher, has recently announced the upcoming release of two new mobile games set to bring lots of exciting moments: Transformers G1: Awakening and Superman/Batman.
Coming as the second game made in collaboration with Hasbro, Transformers G1: Awakening is based on the original Transformers Generation 1 cartoon. The new game will bring a similar storyline and lots of the characters that fans are familiar with from the cartoon.
Talking about the new Transformers for mobiles, Jill Braff, senior vice president of global publishing at Glu, said: "Transformers has a vast consumer base worldwide, and we saw great enthusiasm and reception with the launch of our Transformers game last year. With Transformers G1: Awakening, we've incorporated classic elements true to the original franchise while creating an innovative and enthralling mobile strategy game that will appeal to Transformers fans new and old."
Superman/Batman, the other new game announced by Glu, is being developed after a license acquired from Warner Bros. Digital Distribution. As you probably already guessed, the game will bring the famous super heroes together to fight evil as no one else has done it before. This is the first time when Superman and Batman become partners in a mobile game.
"Superman/Batman features key elements that make a great game - superhuman powers, adventure, and exciting characters taken right from DC Comics' mythology. This new title brings two of the world's most recognized and beloved super heroes together for the first time on mobile, and we're excited to offer this title to fans around the world," said, once again, Mr. Jill Braff.
Unfortunately, there are no available screenshots with Superman/Batman, so for the moment we don't know how it will look like.
Anyway, Glu says that Transformers G1: Awakening will be available starting this fall, while for Superman/Batman fans will have to wait a bit longer, until December. Both games will be distributed all over the world.
