If you were dying to get your hands on the Transformer Prime, Office Depot now offers you the chance to fulfill this wish as the retailer has added the Asus tablet to its online stock.

Only the Amethyst Gray version with 32GB of Flash storage is available right now, which is listed at Asus’ recommended price of $499 US (roughly 382 EUR).

No word on stocks just yet, but at the end of last year Asus promised that January 2012 will bring transformer Prime stocks to normal levels so this may be a sign of things finally getting a turn for the better in this regard.

Furthermore, users who order their Prime now will soon be able to run Android 4.0, aka Ice Cream Sandwich on their tablet, as Asus has promised that it will start pushing the Prime ICS update over-the-air on January 12.

That page has been up for days now and if you bothered to try adding to cart, you'd have been duly informed that it is OOS (again, for days).

Office Depot has been sold out since the first shipment. All these sites claiming they have it in stock once again have NOT done their research. Office Depot has 0 and will not offer shipping dates over the phone. Epic fail blogmaster...

I cant speak for you guys but I ordered my prime from Office Depot.com on Sunday and it arrived at my house yesterday. I'm typing this entry on the prime. You may want to try calling Office Depot again. Not only did I get my prime, but I got a nice little MP4/camera thingy for free.

Wow, would really love this!

I own the original asusa transformer and found out about the prime, being the tech junkie that I am I had to have the quad core i.4 GHZ goodness.

First ordered on amazon in November and they Spooned me for a month before canceling my order "Product unavailable".

Second ordered at Best Buy when up on their site and got spooned by them for a month before they canceled my order as "Item not availasble"..

Three ordered at Office Depot cause I saw it was there and got free two day delevery! You hoo, magic bannanas! Got spooned by Office Depot for two glorious days...

Today I went to Office Depot (Had it shiped to store)and it wasn't there, Item on backorder.

Asus really needs to learn how to treat its devoted customers, Us technogeeks that love everything Asus concieves.

I am exausted with this whole buying process and am still willing to wait, and I don't mind being Spooned BY people who love "or lust"me....

Itz still nice to get at least a kiss on the check after a big let down;(
