“Noah” can take a break from the top spot of the world’s most popular movies among pirates, because “Transcendence” needs to take over for a while.

It seems that the Biblical-inspired movie featuring Russell Crowe, Jennifer Connelly and Emma Watson, which climbed to the top of the chart last week, has slipped to the second place. In its place stands Johnny Depp’s “Transcendence,” a movie with an intriguing plot line where a researcher in the field of Artificial Intelligence manages to upload his own consciousness into such a program, as TorrentFreak reveals.

The film features a long list of well-known actors, including Depp, Morgan Freeman, Rebecca Hall, Paul Bettany, Kate Mara and Cillian Murphy, to name just a few.

The third place holds the week’s first entry – “Need for Speed.” As you have already figured out, the movie is based on one of the most successful racing video game franchise in the world. Featuring Aaron Paul of “Breaking Bad” fame, the film didn’t really manage to attract good reviews from the critics, but it did rake in over $200 million (€147 million) in the box office.

Next in line is another new entry. “Sabotage,” a movie featuring Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sam Worthington and Terrence Howard, has managed to land straight at number four.

“The Other Woman” kept its place from last week, namely the fifth spot. Next one up is “Muppets Most Wanted,” a new entry featuring the well-known gang of Muppets with voice-over from the likes of Ricky Gervais, Tina Fay and Ray Liotta.

Animation movie “Rio 2” continues to cling to the chart, dropping from number three to number seven in just a week. The sequel to the original “Rio” movie from a few years back has been quite a hit among people, raking in millions in the box office.

“A Million Ways to Die in the West,” the hilarious western comedy also dropped four spots since last week, landing at number eight.

Similarly, “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” was pushed down two spots until it reached the ninth place in this week’s chart, indicating that pirates may still be on the wait for a proper DVD rip since the version currently available is only HDTS.

The same can be said for the movie that wraps up this week’s chart – “X-Men: Days of Future Past,” which has been making the rounds on torrent sites for a while now. However, the latest version to reach the list of the most popular pirated movies of the week is an HDCAM, which is slightly better than previous copies.
