As the “performance-packed expansion” of the standard DDR3 memory specification, the Intel XMP (Extreme memory profile) specification has only been earned by a handful of memory products, all of which have top-level capabilities and are meant for enthusiasts. The list of players whose products were validated under this certification more recently includes such names as Corsair and Kingston. Now, Transcend is proudly joining the family thanks to its aXeRam DDR3-2000 memory kit.

The memory product is a dual-channel memory kit rated at, obviously, 2,000MHz and with timings of 9-9-9-24. The product is fully compatible with Intel Core i7 central processing units and, on P55-based motherboards, such as the Gigabyte GA-P55A-UD3, MSI P55-GD80 and Asus P7P55D Deluxe, it will enable new overclocking possibilities.

The kit made itself noticed through its very high bandwidth, which can reach up to 32GB/s, and the stability it brings. Specifically, the modules that make up the aXeRam DDR3-2000 dual channel kit are built with strong eight-layer PCBs and high-quality 128Mx8 DDR3 FBGA chips. All these components comply with the standards imposed by the Joint Electron Device Engineering Council (JEDEC).

“Featuring memory bandwidth up to an incredible 32GB/s, Transcend`s aXeRam DDR3-2000 dual-channel memory kit is rated at 2000MHz with timings of 9-9-9-24, allowing performance enthusiasts and gamers to take their Intel Core i7 platform to the next level of memory overclocking performance. The aXeRam DDR3-2000 memory modules have been certified for use on Intel P55-based motherboards, including Gigabyte GA-P55A-UD3, MSI P55-GD80 and Asus P7P55D Deluxe,” the press release states.

It should probably be noted that Transcend's aXeRam operates on a low voltage of only 1.6V, which means that, in addition to speed and reliability, the memory is also very power efficient. End-users seeking additional information on the devices, or Transcend's full product line, may find it on the company's official website.
