Well-known memory and storage manufacturer Transcend has just launched a new SD card that uses the SDXC standard to offer an amazing 128 GB of storage capacity.

Transcend is very forth coming in its marketing presentation and made all the numbers clear to the customer.

The new card can store a full 32 hours of 1080p high-definition video, but the company gives out full details on this as it mentions that the measurement is based on 1920 by 1080 9Mbps H.264 AVC compression.

When RAW photos are the measurement unit, the Transcend 128 GB SDXC memory card can reportedly handle 8 thousands files where each are 14 MB big.

The performance is satisfactory while it is not impressive in any way.

Transcend manages to surpass the Class 10 specification with a 22 MB/s read speed and a 16 MB/s write speed.

The company’s new SDXC cards are now available in two capacities: 128 GB for $170 (133 EUR) and 64 for $80 (63 EUR) while being backed by a Lifetime warranty.
