Transcend announced the launch of a new line of DDR2 memory kits which are part of the company's high performance line of products and which are aimed at gamers and other personal computer enthusiasts. Just like all previous iterations of this memory line of products, the DDR2-1066 aXeRam Overclocking Memory Dual-Channel Kit is aimed at providing superior performance and extreme overclockability while maintaining rock-solid system stability.

Thanks to the fact that the manufacturing company, Transcend, included two matching pairs of memory modules that are speed tested and verified to be perfectly compatible, the overcloking memory kits are able to withstand high running speeds and workloads without problems. For every memory module a six layered printed circuit board is used that is fully certified by JEDEC's standards as is the high quality thermal dissipating solution used and the memory chips packaging technology that uses small Fine-Pitch Ball Grid Array (FBGA for short) packages to assure better thermal dissipation, electrical efficiency and improved overclocking performance.

Transcend's 2GB 240-pin DDR2-1066 aXeRam includes Enhanced Performance Profiles (EPP for short), which allows users to automatically configure EPP-enabled motherboards with aggressive memory settings for better memory and system performance, while at the same time maintaining a high system stability, as the EPP profiles are factory tested and guaranteed to work.

As the latest Transcend made DDR2 memory modules are using high quality custom made aluminum heat sinks, they are able to support both a high running speed of 1066MHz and low memory timings of 5-5-5-15 while being powered by a 2.1V voltage.
