Transcend Information announced the release of a new high performance memory module series, the aXeRam Overclocking Memory, which is built using only premium quality chips and offers unparalleled performance. Those memory modules are designed with gamers and power users in mind that are demanding and expecting the most from their computer
systems.
Transcend's latest memory modules are coming in dual channel configurations as 2GB DDR2 kits that are ready for overclocking duty and they are using by default the 800MHz frequency. The kit includes a pair of matched and pre tested memory modules of 1Gb each that are equipped with high quality heat spreaders for optimum performance and increased reliability even in hotter environments. Each memory module is laid out on a PCB with six layers that is fully compliant with JEDEC (the Joint Electron Device Engineering Council) technical and performance specifications. The 240 pins memories are made of 16 FBGA chips that are packed using the 64Mx8 standard.
As the Transcend's 2GB DDR2-800 aXeRam Dual-Channel Overclocking Kit memory modules are hand picked and tested for maximum performance in a dual channel configuration, users may expect as much as 12.8GBps of data bandwidth at a low CL4 latency and 1.8V. Because of the low latencies, those memory modules are able to deliver faster read and write speeds. When compared with DDR2 memories that are running at a frequency of 800MHz and are using the CL5 timings, the Transcend aXeRam kit is performing 10 percent faster.
This product features dual channel memory modules with identical chips and configurations for maximum performance as well as an aluminum heat sink with superior design and high efficiency for a cooler working environment. As the memory modules from the Transcend's 2GB DDR2-800 aXeRam Dual-Channel Overclocking Kits are hand tested and manually matched in pairs, the manufacturing company is covering them with a lifetime warranty.
