Amtrak announces improvements to the sluggish service, among other things

Amtrak is one of the premier train companies in the United States, which means that it sets the tone for more or less everything in regards to train travel.

For the most part, trains are pleasant enough. Although some trains are a bit uncomfortable, especially over long distances, others have plenty of leg room, restaurant carts, etc.

They even have Internet support via Wi-Fi, and this is where our story begins.

Basically, Wi-Fi support in trains is deplorably slow, and Amtrak figured it should finally do something about it.

Thus, it has begun upgrading the service on some trains, like the Acela express between Boston and Washington DC.

A few California lines will get improvements too, like Capitol Corridor, Pacific Surfliner and San Joaquin, etc.

Later in the summer, all other Wi-Fi trains will be brought up to speed too, The New York Times reports.
