Marco Borges, the singer’s personal trainer, reveals for Life & Style magazine that Beyonce had to be very disciplined in order to get her pre-pregnancy body in almost record time.
One of the secret “weapons” they used was the rule of eating at least one vegan meal a day.
“This typically gets people to eat more greens than they normally would,” Borges explains.
“If you have to snack, don't sacrifice nutrition,” he adds. So Beyonce snacked on “edamame, a green apple or cucumbers sprinkled with vinegar, cayenne pepper and lemon.”
Another trick they used was to occasionally replace lunch with a protein shake, which provided her with the necessary nutrients while cutting down on the calories.
Of course, it wasn’t all just dieting: to help her lose the extra weight, he also made Beyonce sweat a lot, while also thinking of new ways of keeping her entertained, so that the routines never got boring.
“Consistency is the key to success. I love running-sprint intervals for quick cardio sessions and also... running stairs,” Borges says.
One way to avoid boredom from setting in was to do all workouts on music, preferably on the singer’s favorite songs.
