Witnesses in the deadly train crash in Spain are speaking up to shed light on the cause of the accident.

According to the AP, Evaristo Iglesias has described getting Francisco Jose Garzon Amo out of the wreckage.

The resident helped Garzon to an area where several injured people were laid out, before EMTs could get to them. The photo above shows a distraught, injured, and blood-soaked Garzon getting moved out of the way.

According to Iglesias, the driver told him that he was going too fast and that he couldn't get to brake in time.

He even said that he wished to die. He knew that he was going too fast in a curve, but, by the time he realized it, it was already too late.

As previously reported, he has been charged with homicide and other crimes related to inflicting bodily harm and professional negligence. He will be facing 79 counts.
